The pioneer Storm Family of the Salinas Valley is permanently protecting their 63-acre farm with an agricultural conservation easement with the Ag Land Trust. Generally acknowledged as the most productive and valuable farmland in the county, the Storm Farm is located near the southern edge of the City of Salinas. This easement, along with others held by ALT, will limit the sprawl of Salinas, and direct development easterly into less productive areas.
