The California Rodeo Association is a not-for-profit organization that strives to preserve and promote the traditions of the California Rodeo Salinas and the West. They support the community and other non-profit organizations through the staging of the annual California Rodeo Salinas and other year round operations of the Salinas Sports Complex. Through donation of their facility, vending and fundraising opportunities during Rodeo and other events, the California Rodeo Association returns almost $500,000 annually to local non-profits.
Through the success of the 112th annual Rodeo, over $560,000 dollars was donated back to local non-profits, including First Tee Monterey, Monterey Bay Veterans, Sun Street Centers, Soledad ROTC, and many more. The Ag Land Trust was the Presenting Sponsor for the Produce Mascot Race. On Friday, July 22nd, Board president, Aaron Johnson, presented Church Brothers’ The Green Machine with the 2022 winning buckle.
