D’ARRIGO – SPRECKELS BUFFER

The Owner and the Ag Land Trust committed to protecting the agricultural and open space values of this farm that is adjacent to the historic town of Spreckles.

Frank SILVA RANCH

This family’s trust has protected forevermore the agricultural values of this farm by donating its conservation easement to the Ag Land Trust.

MANZONI RANCH

Located in the River Road district of the Salinas Valley lies this Ranch.  Its well-drained soil support a variety of crops including vegetable and field crops and vineyards.

ANDRUS RANCH

Less than two miles southeast of the city of Gonzales and adjacent to California State Highway 101 lies the Andrus’ ranch.  Not only does the agricultural easement keep the farm in vegetable production, it forms a buffer zone between the developed properties within the city limits of Gonzales and the irreplaceable agricultural farmland southeast of the city limits.

MAESTRI TAVERNETTI RANCH

The Ranch is located less than two miles southeast of the city of Gonzales and fronts United States Route 101.  The agricultural easement creates a buffer zone between the developed properties within the city limits of Gonzales and the irreplaceable agricultural farmland southeast of the city limits.

GREENFIELD BUFFER EASEMENT

Working in partnership with LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION (LAFCO), the property owners, the City of Greenfield and the Ag Land Trust, the buffer easement protects the surrounding agricultural lands.

KING CITY BUFFER EASEMENT

These agricultural conservation easements on the northern edge of King City create a buffer serving to protect this prime agricultural land from urban development.

SOMMERS RANCH

The Sommers Ranch’s agricultural conservation easement protects this irreplaceable prime farmland from developmental pressures in the Gonzales-Chualar area.

TAN OAK CANYON LOWER RANCH

By protecting this ranch with an agricultural conservation easement, the growth of Chualar is directed elsewhere, away from the irreplaceable farmland.

DAYTON RANCH

The ranch owner, concerned about the consumption of prime farmland around the city of Salinas, approached the Ag Land Trust with the idea of protecting it from development.  The agricultural conservation easement will ensure the land remains in agriculture in perpetuity.
